Airline Transport Pilot
An ATP is the highest certification in the aviation industry. It allows you to act as pilot-in-command of a scheduled air carrier's aircraft. If you intend to make a career of flying for the airlines than this is the rating you need.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Obtain at least a current first-class medical certificate
- Receive required training per FAA regulations
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
